Grocery Shopping

Shopping with younger children can be a challenging task at times. Having 3 boys so close in age is also equally as challenging. Some days they are great.. other days they turn into the three stooges and run rampage!

We have been working on an earning system for time on the Ipad. Since everyone wants to use it ALL the time and no one seems to want to help out, They now do things that earn them time. If they do something that I didn't have to ask them to do they get double the time and so forth. The relevance to my shopping trip this day was they were all really well behaved because of this system. Though being active farm boys they have to find ways to channel their energy.

This photo is a classic "Renata" moment. Now I tell you who else would hold the toilet paper like this. The funny thing is he did it SOOO well!!

(look past the people on the left to that little figure..hehe the toilet paper looks almost as big as he is!

Flashback - Rotten teeth?

I was putting the boys to bed the other night, and as usual you go through the usual teeth toilet, bed etc... I asked Rakai, did you brush your teeth? He said no. (He was honest) So, I said, "do you want your teeth to fall out while you are asleep?" He answered with a sad look on his face, "yes, cause then I can get some money". Oh that was such a Rakai thing to say!! I had to counter that (trying not to laugh) by telling him that the tooth fairy doesn't give money for rotten teeth! Then, Hikawera pipes up saying he got $5 for a rotten (dead actually from being banged) tooth that the dentist had to pull out. I had to go into real damage control then!! Rakai comes out with the funniest things sometimes. He is golden.

Volleyball

Teancum really enjoys playing volleyball. He jumped right into the teams at boys high, and within a couple of weeks, he was in the 'A' team. They came runner up this season to a solid Hillcrest school team. An awesome group of boys.

Hakarimata's again!

Yes, we did it! We climbed the Hakarimata's again. Still hard, still so rewarding!!
