The Gingerbread Man

I had to go to South Auckland to get our generator fixed and to get through peek traffic, we left pretty early. I love the bakery's down south as they are affordable and have yummy food. Today the two boys were able to choose one treat each from the bakery for being so good getting up early. THey each chose a Gingerbread man. It was so fun to see them choosing which part to eat. And not too shy to show them off for the camera.

Wash Your Feet

13/10/12 Wearing shoes on our farm, although constantly reminded, is so often not done. I sound like my mum when I call out "get some shoes on".. This day Rakai had particularly muddy feet, so I sent him to wash his feet in the bucket. He did, and this photo explains the rest.

Doing his part

It is no secret I try to teach my children life skills so that if I am not around they will stay clean and fed... Hikawera is a bit of a sponge with this at the moment. Here he is doing the dishes, and he has also  become a pretty good hand at the chocolate logs. mmmm. He will happily make you one if you ask. Hikawera's first chocolate log. Made on his own.

Ring Ring Ring.. Banana Phone

11/10/12 There is a ring tone that says "Ring Ring Ring Ring banana phone...." A real catchy crazy frog type of sounding ring. Our kids love it and today I sprang Renata and Rakaipaka having some cute discussions on the 'phone'. Just had to take some shots.
