I may have mentioned that it is getting cold here in New Zealand, but the other morning we had a cold...snap. You can usually feel it when hail is about to hit. That sudden icy cold (I don't know how people can live in snow!) feeling came about 7:30am. When the rain came shortly after I knew what we were in for. HAIL!! not golf ball size like aussie gets but delicate small drops of ice. Everywhere. I stood at the door calling out to all the kids, and no one budged!! I guess the excitement did not want to leave the warmth of the blankets!
that is so cool! All the older kids grew up in Cairns and the only exciting thing is cyclones (that is fun though) anyway you don't get any hail up there in the tropics, so the excitement of hail was over whelming. They still tell me if it has hailed and everyone runs out to pick up the hail. It must have been so cold there though.
