Sleep over fun

Being school holidays our kids have been hanging out to have a sleep over at their Cousins house. (our neighbours). Their family is always busy, so last Friday night when the invitation was extended to go over and sleep by the fire, there was no hesitation.

It was so good to see the marae style mattresses set out in front of the TV. It has been a while.

The next morning, as there was no rugby or netball due to school holidays, the kids decided to have a little fun. I have no Idea where it came from but a blow up rugby post appeared so naturally it was 'try time'. They all lined up and took turns diving through the posts for a try. Even Rakaipaka got in on the act.

"I'll be your best friend?!"

My baby never fails to have a “such a cutie” moment every day. I don’t know what it is about him, perhaps knowing he is the baby, or simply that he was such a good baby, that I have noticed these little moment s more.   I have to share this one with you. It has happened twice this last week. We are sitting in the car and Rakaipaka calls out and asks for something. Usually it is a lolly or chocolate or something I don’t have at that time. Anyway I call out ‘no’, and the response comes back, “Oooh, Ill be your best friend”!!! Ha How cute is that!! He is all of what 2 years old and is already trying that line on his mother!!! Now the question is posed…. Which one of his siblings did he hear that from!!!!

Volleyball

Teancum really enjoys playing volleyball. He jumped right into the teams at boys high, and within a couple of weeks, he was in the 'A' team. They came runner up this season to a solid Hillcrest school team. An awesome group of boys.
