The field that Arama played on Last saturday was about 15 minutes from our farm. You turn off one of the side roads onto a typical country road and Vwa-la! your there. As soon as you open your door you smell that fresh country air of Cow and patts..or maybe it is just cow patts!! It took a minute but amidst the farming land was this well groomed and I must say really good Playing field.
After the game I thought I better let my 'curious george' aka Rakaipaka take a close up of what real cows look and sound like. After a few prompts a cow returned my calls to Rakai's delight. I would tell him cow, and he would respond "Doat" (goat). I found this quite amusing since he was adament that the cow was indeed a Doat. I guess that is what you get for only having a goat, chickens and dogs on our farm (for now). A great sunny day anyhow. We love the sun at the moment.... Thank you Hikawera and Kawea for taking the photo's.
