Warkworth Branch

Time to meet the Warkworth branch. This is the Branch we attend church at. We have been assigned a 1 year calling to be here. It is lovely. There are about 50 members, my kids make up 96% of the primary and 1/5th of the youth program. It takes us about 1/2 hour of windy roads to get there. Here is our lovely little chapel.

The chapel is opposite a public reserve park lands with a boating waterway leading out to the harbour. A very pretty spot. The boys also thought that they had scored big time when they saw that directly across the road is a large half pipe. Needless to say the first few weeks we had to establish the boundaries for where they can and can't go on Sunday.
The week I took this they were doing some maintenance to the
park,

Last Sunday the weather was so nice we had a picnic along the water edge before travelling home.

Flashback - Rotten teeth?

I was putting the boys to bed the other night, and as usual you go through the usual teeth toilet, bed etc... I asked Rakai, did you brush your teeth? He said no. (He was honest) So, I said, "do you want your teeth to fall out while you are asleep?" He answered with a sad look on his face, "yes, cause then I can get some money". Oh that was such a Rakai thing to say!! I had to counter that (trying not to laugh) by telling him that the tooth fairy doesn't give money for rotten teeth! Then, Hikawera pipes up saying he got $5 for a rotten (dead actually from being banged) tooth that the dentist had to pull out. I had to go into real damage control then!! Rakai comes out with the funniest things sometimes. He is golden.

Volleyball

Teancum really enjoys playing volleyball. He jumped right into the teams at boys high, and within a couple of weeks, he was in the 'A' team. They came runner up this season to a solid Hillcrest school team. An awesome group of boys.

Hakarimata's again!

Yes, we did it! We climbed the Hakarimata's again. Still hard, still so rewarding!!
