Car travel with Kids. How do you do it??

For us car travel is part of an every day routine. 5 min drive to the bus stop, 10 to the school and kkk town ship, ½hour to bigger town and church… our kids are no stranger to traveling no matter the mode of transport. I have been asked by several people how do we handle it. Well for us a good way is to simply.... go to sleep and wake up ready to go when we get there. It is sometimes amusing and entertaining the positions they can get in to while being harnessed in their seatbelts….So that is how we do it..

"I'll be your best friend?!"

My baby never fails to have a “such a cutie” moment every day. I don’t know what it is about him, perhaps knowing he is the baby, or simply that he was such a good baby, that I have noticed these little moment s more.   I have to share this one with you. It has happened twice this last week. We are sitting in the car and Rakaipaka calls out and asks for something. Usually it is a lolly or chocolate or something I don’t have at that time. Anyway I call out ‘no’, and the response comes back, “Oooh, Ill be your best friend”!!! Ha How cute is that!! He is all of what 2 years old and is already trying that line on his mother!!! Now the question is posed…. Which one of his siblings did he hear that from!!!!

Volleyball

Teancum really enjoys playing volleyball. He jumped right into the teams at boys high, and within a couple of weeks, he was in the 'A' team. They came runner up this season to a solid Hillcrest school team. An awesome group of boys.
