Working out

I have been really fortunate to be able to take Rakai to work with me on the days that he is not in daycare and I need to be in the office. You would think being in an office with a tonne of toys literally around you that it would be like a child in a candy store. Rakai was always so good. He had a couple of toys to keep him happy, or the movies but if he needed to burn off some energy he would just jump on this treadmill exercise bike thingy and go running for a while.. he was so cute, I couldn’t resist taking a photo of this one..

"I'll be your best friend?!"

My baby never fails to have a “such a cutie” moment every day. I don’t know what it is about him, perhaps knowing he is the baby, or simply that he was such a good baby, that I have noticed these little moment s more.   I have to share this one with you. It has happened twice this last week. We are sitting in the car and Rakaipaka calls out and asks for something. Usually it is a lolly or chocolate or something I don’t have at that time. Anyway I call out ‘no’, and the response comes back, “Oooh, Ill be your best friend”!!! Ha How cute is that!! He is all of what 2 years old and is already trying that line on his mother!!! Now the question is posed…. Which one of his siblings did he hear that from!!!!

Volleyball

Teancum really enjoys playing volleyball. He jumped right into the teams at boys high, and within a couple of weeks, he was in the 'A' team. They came runner up this season to a solid Hillcrest school team. An awesome group of boys.
